# Track other profiles (https://www.getfounderhq.com/docs/compose/track-profiles)

Astro can read more than your own posts. Add a competitor to see how they
position themselves, or a creator whose style you admire. Astro studies
their posts and uses what works when it drafts for you.

## Three kinds of profile

| Kind | What it is for |
| --- | --- |
| **My profile** | You post from this profile. Astro drafts in this voice. |
| **Competitor** | A competitor to track for positioning and content strategy |
| **Inspiration** | A creator whose style or ideas you want to learn from |

You can only draft as one of your own profiles.

## Add a profile

1. Open the profile switcher at the top of the Compose sidebar and choose
   **Manage profiles**.
2. Press **Track another profile**.
3. Choose the kind.
4. Enter the handle: the part of the address after `linkedin.com/`, such
   as `in/jane-doe` or `company/acme`.
5. Press **Track**.

The extension imports the profile's posts in your browser. Keep Chrome
open and stay signed in to LinkedIn.

## Verify

The profile appears in the list. Its row shows **Queued**, then
**Checking…**, then the time of its last check.

Ask Astro about it in a chat: "What has Acme been posting about this
month?"

## Manage a profile

Open the menu on a profile's row.

| Action | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Profile type** | Changes the kind |
| **Re-scan full history** | Reads all the posts again. Keep the LinkedIn tab in front while it runs. |
| **Remove profile** | Stops tracking it |

Every tracked profile is checked about once a day, while Chrome is open
and the extension is paired.
