# Create a Journey (https://www.getfounderhq.com/docs/journeys/create-a-journey)

A Journey is a set of screens a person moves through: a welcome, a few
questions, a result. You build it in an editor and see it change as you
work. About 10 minutes for a first one.

## 1. Start

Open [Journeys](https://app.getfounderhq.com/journeys) and press **Add journey**.

| Choice | What you get |
| --- | --- |
| **Blank journey** | One welcome screen, ready to build on |
| **Start from sample** | A finished onboarding flow, to take apart and change |

The Journey is created in the brand selected in the sidebar.

## 2. Name it

Click the name at the top left of the editor and type a new one. It
starts as "Untitled Journey".

## 3. Learn the editor

| Area | What it is for |
| --- | --- |
| **Screens**, on the left | Every screen of the Journey, grouped into arcs |
| The preview, in the center | The Journey as a person sees it. You can click through it. |
| The panel on the right | **Inspector** for the selected screen, **Variables** for answers and calculated values, **Journey** for settings of the whole Journey |
| **Astro**, top right | A chat that builds and changes screens for you |
| **Share**, top right | A phone preview, a public link, and the embed code |

## 4. Add a screen

Press the plus in **Screens** and choose **New Screen**. Pick what the
screen does:

| Screen | What the person does |
| --- | --- |
| **Info Page** | Reads. It asks nothing. |
| **Single Select** | Picks one answer |
| **Multi Select** | Picks one or more answers |
| **Input** | Types an answer |
| **Slider** | Picks a value on a scale |
| **Swipe Cards** | Swipes yes or no on each card |
| **Counter Select** | Sets a count for each option |

## 5. Save

Press **Save Draft**. The Journey is created the first time you save.

The editor does not save by itself. An **Unsaved changes** mark shows
when you have changes to save, and your browser warns you before you
leave with them.

## Verify

Open [Journeys](https://app.getfounderhq.com/journeys). Your Journey is in the list with a
**DRAFT** mark.
