These settings belong to one brand. Change anything, then press **Save**
at the top. One save covers every section.

## Cadence and automation

| Setting | What it does | Starts as |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Posts per month** | How many posts Publish plans. From 0 to 90. At 0, nothing new is planned. | 30 |
| **Auto-publish** | Sends a draft that passed review to your blog at the end of its planned day | On |
| **Days between reusing a keyword** | How long before the same keyword gets another post | 1 |

Posts per month cannot take you past your plan's article limit.

## Pause automatic writing

Press **Pause** at the top of the page. New briefs, articles, and reviews
stop starting on their own. Work that is already running finishes, and
anything you ask for yourself still runs.

Press **Resume** to start again.

## AI models

Astro needs a model for each job before it can write.

| Setting | What it does |

| **Writer agent** | Writes article drafts |
| **Reviewer agent** | Writes briefs and reviews articles |
| **Image generation** | Makes featured and inline images |

## Writing

| Setting | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Brand knowledge** | Sources Astro reads before it writes: your sitemap, a page, your blog, a YouTube video, a document, or text you type. Press **Add knowledge**. |
| **Author perspective** | Who is speaking: "I", "we", brand-neutral, or whatever your brand already uses |
| **Emoji** | Never, Sparing, or Allowed |
| **Brand mentions** | How often an article names your product: only when relevant, subtle, or standard |
| **Internal links** | The fewest and the most links to your other posts in one article. Starts at 2 to 5. |
| **Global article instructions** | Rules for every article, in your own words |

## Media

| Setting | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Include infographics** | Astro adds a graphic where it helps |
| **Include relevant YouTube videos** | Astro embeds a video that fits the topic |
| **Featured image style** | How the main image should look |
| **Inline image style** | How images inside the article should look |

## Keyword defaults

**Country** and **Language** are used for every new keyword, unless you
change them when you add it. They start as the United States and English.

## Authors

An author is the person or the company a post is written as. Astro uses
the author's background to write in their voice.

Press **Add author** and fill in the name, title, bio, and expertise.
**Perspective** and **Voice notes** tell Astro how this author sounds.
Tick **Make this the default Publish author** for the one most posts use.

For each blog connection, link the author to their account in your CMS.
The post then appears under their name on your blog.

## Troubleshoot

### "Choose the AI models before saving"

**Posts per month** is above 0, and a writer or a reviewer model is not
set. Pick both under **AI models**, then save.
