Studio makes short videos for your product. You describe the video to
Astro, review the plan, and generate it. Then you cut it, caption it, and
export an MP4 in the editor. You can also edit footage you already have.

## What you can do

## The parts of Studio

| In the sidebar | What it is |

| **Create** | Your chats with Astro. Each chat holds its video plans and the videos generated from them. |
| **Avatars** | Characters Studio can reuse across images and videos. |
| **Editor** | Your edits. Each one is a timeline you can come back to. |
| **Media Library** | Every image and video you generated, uploaded, or imported, across all FounderHQ products. |

## What uses credits

Only generating a video uses credits. Editing, captions, avatars, and
exports do not.

A video costs a rate per second. The rate depends on the model and the
resolution you choose, so a longer or sharper video costs more. Studio
shows the exact cost on the **Generate** button before you spend anything.

FounderHQ holds the credits when the video is queued. If the generation
fails, the credits come back.

| Add captions | [Companion](/companion) on your machine, or an OpenAI API key. |
| Export | Chrome or Edge. In another browser, Companion does the export. |
