Read results
See how a sequence performs, and find out what happened to any single message.
There are three places to look: the sequence itself, a broadcast's report, and the message log.
How a sequence performs
Open the sequence in the builder.
- On each message step, the card shows Sent, Opened, and Clicked. Click the step to see the same numbers under Performance.
- In the version menu, each version shows how many people entered it and how many reached the goal, with the rate.
Compare two versions to see whether a change helped.
Opens and clicks are counted when tracking is on for the step. A Service message tracks neither unless you turn them on.
How a broadcast performed
See Read the report.
What happened to one message
Sequences → Message log lists every message FounderHQ sent: who received it, on which channel, and what became of it.
Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Waiting to be sent, or held by quiet hours or a paused sequence |
| Sent | Handed to your provider |
| Delivered | The provider confirmed it arrived |
| Bounced | The address refused it |
| Suppressed | Not sent, because the person opted out or the address is blocked |
| Failed | The provider refused it, or could not be reached |
A message stops at Sent when your provider does not report delivery. See what each channel reports.
Find a message
Filter by period, Status, Channels, and Source:
| Source | Sent by |
|---|---|
| Sequence | A step of a sequence |
| Broadcast | A broadcast |
| Test | A test send |
| API | Your server, through the Send API |
Add columns such as First open, First click, and Last error from the column menu.
Read one message
Click a row. You see when it was sent and delivered, every attempt with its result, and the message as it was sent. Raw shows exactly what went to your provider.
A message failed
Open the row and read Last error. It is your provider's own answer.
| It says | Usually means |
|---|---|
| The credentials are wrong | The key on the connection expired or was revoked. Open Sequences → Settings and update it. |
| The sender is not verified | Your domain or number is not approved with the provider yet |
| A limit was reached | Your provider is slowing you down. FounderHQ tries again by itself. |
A connection that keeps failing shows Needs attention in Sequences → Settings.
One person's messages
Open the person in Analytics → People and choose the Messages tab.
Ask Astro
In the builder, ask Astro: "How is my welcome sequence performing?"
